Waterproofing

904L Stainless Steel Body

Watch cases are manufactured from 904L stainless steel to provide structural strength and corrosion resistance. Case construction is designed to support tight tolerances and secure sealing at all entry points.

The case back, crown tube, and crystal seating are engineered to minimise moisture ingress during normal use.

Durable Sealing Components

Seals and gaskets are used throughout the case to prevent water penetration. These components are selected for elasticity, resistance to wear, and long-term stability.

Proper sealing plays a critical role in maintaining water resistance over time.

Screw-Down Watch Crown

The screw-down crown creates a secure seal when fully tightened. This design helps prevent water entry through the crown tube, which is one of the most vulnerable points on a watch.

Correct crown operation is essential to maintaining water resistance.

Triplock Sealing System

Multiple sealing points are used within the crown assembly to enhance protection against moisture. These seals work together to create layered resistance when the crown is secured.

This system improves reliability compared to single-seal designs.

Precision O-Rings

O-rings are used at key contact points, including the crown, case back, and crystal. These components are sized and positioned to ensure consistent pressure and effective sealing.

Materials are selected to maintain flexibility under normal temperature changes.

Sealing Lubrication

Specialised lubricants are applied to seals during assembly to reduce friction and prevent premature wear. Proper lubrication helps maintain sealing effectiveness over time.

Dry or damaged seals can compromise water resistance.

Pressure Testing

Each watch undergoes pressure testing to verify water resistance before final approval. Testing simulates increased pressure to identify potential sealing weaknesses.

Only watches that meet defined resistance criteria proceed to final inspection.

Intended Water Use

These watches are designed to withstand everyday water exposure, such as hand washing, rain, or incidental splashes. Swimming or prolonged submersion is not recommended unless the model is specifically rated for such use.

Water resistance is not permanent and should be checked periodically.

Deep Water Models

Models designed for increased water resistance feature reinforced case construction and thicker sapphire crystals. Some designs include pressure-management features intended for high-pressure environments.

These features support enhanced resistance but do not eliminate the need for proper care.

Sapphire Crystal Thickness

Sapphire crystals are selected for strength and scratch resistance. Crystal thickness is adjusted based on case design to support pressure resistance while maintaining correct proportions.

Proper installation is essential to maintaining sealing integrity.
